Aftermath of the election: 7 of Swords Reversed

Concentrate on what you have to do. Fix your eyes on it. Remind yourself that your task is to be a good human being; remind yourself what nature demands of people. Then do it, without hesitation, and speak the truth as you see it. But with kindness. With humility. Without hypocrisy.
–Marcus Aurelius

The 7 of Swords shows a thief stealing some swords and leaving others. He will probably get away with it. In a reading, it can mean we are trying to get away with something or deny reality as it is. But the reverse is the opposite. It is honesty. Facing reality. Being openly who and what we are.

Whether you are happy or sad about the election the best we can now is be our authentic selves. We must decide to speak our truth as we see it. Stick to the facts as we know it and keep going. It may not be easy, but it is important.

The only way to survive now is to accept that others will not always agree with us. There is no one true way. The harassment, even death threats people are getting for speaking their truth must stop. Good will keep us going. Be brave. Be honest. And keep going. Be who you are, no matter how unwelcome it is. On the other hand, respect other people’s opinions also, even if it contradicts yours.
